Dear ESY families

Welcome to ESY 2007 at Westchester Elementary School!  We are so excited to be given the opportunity to work with your child this summer.  For your knowledge and convenience, we have developed this webiste provide a brief description of our program as well as offer some very useful resources to parents, teachers, and students in our program.  Please refer back often for updates and news from this summer.

In cooperation with parents and community, the Kirkwood Extended School Year Program will provide creative and challenging programs that enhance and enrich all learners in their academic and social skills and foster, prepare, and equip the learners for future academic and professional successes.

In order for your child to learn, they need a supportive environment which encourages learning.  We have a qualified staff who are committed to providing excellent instruction and have an attitude that indicates respect for others.  We feel that as parents, your knowledge of  your child and your support of our program at home helps to ensure that your child has a positive learning experience in ESY.  Your cooperation and support are vital if we are to work together to see that our learners achieve and at the same time develop positive self concepts, as well as a sense of self direction.
