Your will recieve a kindergarten manual at the first meeting of the year. Refer to this boklet for important information.
I write a regular newsletter to parents, which includes the following: What's Happening...what we covered in curriculum areas, pertaining to our unit; also includes pertinent questions parents can ask children about our learning; What's Next...what to expect the following week regarding curriculum; What We Need...includes reminders of dates/special events coming up, and things the children might need to bring in/do at home; Thank You...special mention of parents who have contributed in some way (a presentation, items they sent in, help they've given their youngsters in homework assignments, etc.)
I like to keep in touch with the folks who help so significantly in making our kindergarten program so successful! They are our wings!
