Introduction

Welcome to 7th grade and to 7th grade math!

We are really looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you. In order to do this, we have designed this project so you can tell us a little about yourself by writing a story similar to the Math Curse by Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith.

We are also looking forward to an exciting year where all our students can meet with success. This is one of our goals for the school year. What are your goals for this school year? This project is a chance for you to tell me, so we can help you reach those goals. You will tell us about your goals by writing a story similar to the Math Curse by Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith.

We really find it helpful to have a purpose for when we are studying something, and as teachers we often hear the question, "When am I ever going to have to use this stuff?" So, this project is a chance for you to find a purpose and explore how you might use it in your future career(s). Again, you will tell us about your goals a story similar to the Math Curse by Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith.
