8th Grade Art Program
NKMS

This eighth grade course meets daily for one semester. The content is also based on
the four art disciplines of art crticism, aesthetics, art history and art production.
Students will interpret and explain the elements and principles of design through many
hands-on activities that involve a myriad of techniques, including technology.
The student will explore in depth artists and art movements throughout history, and their impact on society and their community today. A number of art units will be integrated with
the overall eighth grade curriculum throughout the semester.
