7th Grade Art Program
NKMS

This class meets daily for nine weeks. The content of this class is also
derived from discipline-based instruction. The students explore in greater detail art history, art crticism, aesthetics and art production. The basic elements of art and design are reinforced through hands-on activities that include various media techniques such as pastels, watercolor, clay,
printmaking, collage, metal and three dimensional construction. Exploration of cultures
(past and present) and their impact on society today as well as how lives have been enriched by these
art experiences is a focal point of seventh grade art.
